Abstract

Objective To evaluate the correlation of chemokine receptor (CXCR4) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) expression correlates with lymph node metastasis in gastric carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemical stain was used to detect the expression of CXCR4,iNOS in 80 resected speciments of gastric carcinoma and paracancerous tissues. Results The expression of CXCR4 (58.7%),iNOS (77.5%) in gastric cancinoma were significantly increased, compared with the paracancerous tissues.Significance difference were also found in the expression indexes of CXCR4 (70.8%) and iNOS (89.6%)between those with or without lymph nodr metastasis (P < 0.05).Conclusion CXCR4 and iNOS might produce a synergistic effect during the genesis of gastric carcinoma and be involved in lymph node metastasis in gastric carcinoma. Key words: Gastric carcinoma; Chemokine receptor; Inducible nitric oxide synthase; Metastasis
