Abstract
Evolved gases were measured from phosphor stripped from fluorescent lamps to determine the influence of gas impurities adsorbed on the solid phase of the phosphor in lamps. A close linear relationship exists between lumen depreciation and the quantity of impurity gases, especially CO and CO2 adsorbed on the phosphor.
