Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship among preoperative anxiety general self-efficacy and coping modes in scar patients treated with micro plasma. Methods From November 2015 to June 2017, 114 patients with acne scars treated with plasma from the Medical Cosmetology and Burn Plastic Surgery of Shanxi Dayi Hospital were selected as the research object by the convenient sampling method. General situation questionnaire, general self-efficacy scale, simple coping style questionnaire, Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) for preoperative anxiety questionnaire survey were made for the patients. The relationship between preoperative anxiety and general self-efficacy and coping mode of patients were analyzed. The statistical software SPSS 17.0 was used for data analysis, mainly including descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, variance analysis and linear regression analysis. Results Among the investigated patients, cases of 63 had anxiety symptoms, accounting for 55.3% of the total. Anxiety before treatment had a negative correlation with positive coping mode and general self-efficacy (r=0.620, 0.605; P<0.01) , and had a positive correlation with negative coping mode (r=0.489, P<0.01) ; general self-efficacy was correlated positively with positive coping mode (r=0.571, P<0.01) , and negatively with negative coping mode (r=0.544, P<0.01) . Regression analysis showed that once positive coping mode entered the equation, the predictions effect of general self-efficacy on anxiety dropped from -8.438 to -5.681, but still had a statistically significant difference (P<0.05) . Conclusions General self-efficacy and positive coping mode have a negative protective effect on preoperative anxiety. Positive coping mode plays some intermediary role between self-efficacy and anxiety. The effective psychological measures should be used to promote the positive mental adjustment of patients and improve their coping ability, so as to improve the postoperative effect.
