Abstract

Using methods of thermally stimulated luminescence and vacuum-ultraviolet spectroscopy the nature of the recombination luminescence which arises in the correlated electron–hole trapping centers was investigated. It is shown that the nature of a broad emission band in the irradiated LiKSO4, Li2SO4 and Na2SO4 with several maxima is due to the existence of correlated defects of different energy states, corresponding to radicals located in different crystallographic directions.
