Abstract
Collateral circulation from the left coronary artery to the left bronchial artery was demonstrated by selective coronary cinearteriography in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and atrial fibrillation in vivo in the absence of congenital heart disease. Presumably, disease altering the pulmonary arterial circulation caused pre-existing interarterial anastomoses to become functional. The relationship between the patient's arrhythmia and possible “coronary steal” is discussed.
