Abstract
A slit lamp, photomultiplier, fiber optic probe system was used to measure pre- and post-ultraviolet radiant exposure corneal light scatter for the human. The change in light scatter was followed up to ten hours post-exposure. Corneal light scatter increased as radiant exposure increased. An ultraviolet action spectrum for light scatter threshold radiant exposure was established. The light scatter threshold data are compared to human threshold data established by slit lamp observations.
