Abstract

Excitation energies and oscillator strengths from the [sup 1][ital S][sub 0] ground state to the first [sup 3][ital P][sub 1][sup [ital o]] and [sup 1][ital P][sub 1][sup [ital o]] excited states of Cd-like ions are calculated by using the multiconfiguration relativistic random-phase approximation including excitation channels from core electrons. The discrepancies among theories and experiments are much reduced but, in general, remain.
