Abstract

Cooperation provides the power to make American democracy work. Cooperative (not competitive or individualistic) efforts make self-evi dent the truths that all humans are created equal and are endowed with the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is time to recognize the relationship between cooperative learning and commit ment to the values underlying American democracy.
