Abstract

Wealth is not the primary determinant of a countries development index rather education is seen as a primary index of a developed emerging knowledge economy. For this reason pursuance of professional education is given utmost importance by the government, youth as well as their parents. The imparted professional education being taught in the educational institutions is limited only to the theoretical framework as prescribed by the academic communities or bodies. The prescribed academic topics more often skim upon the underlying concept rather than explain in detail utilizing the help extended by Information Technology and Communication Tools thus delineating the inquiring mind to find the right clarity as far as the topic is concerned. To find the right information the convergence of Information Technology and communication tools as a right mix are to be used for teaching as well as its importance to the student community needs to be looked into. The convergence of teaching with information technologies are way apart and this can be easily felt when the prospective candidate applies for a job. In order to cope up with the situation the prospective candidate has to learn the intricate technologies separately in order to pursue his career which poses a major challenge in terms of money and time.The present paper throws light on the lacunae in convergence of Information Technology and Communication Tools as teaching methodologies for imparting professional education and presents some feasible solutions that can be a viable solution for imparting professional education in educational institutions so that the prospective student while exiting the educational institution is professionally ready to take up the job which now-a-days is purely Information Technology dependent.
