Abstract
The effects of air jet impinging on the mass transfer characteristics from a rotating spinning cylinder surface were experimentally investigated. The effects of rotational Reynolds numberRer, jet-exit Reynolds number Rej, the nozzle width-to-cylinder diameter ratio B/d, and the ratio of the distance between nozzle exit and the front of cylinder to nozzle width L/B on the mean \( \overline {Sh} \) were determined. The phenomena of the first and second critical point was analyzed and validated. On the basis of experimental data, the correlation equation was obtained.
