Abstract
Supramolecular crystallization in alcohol suspensions of monodispersed spherical silica particles at pH ~ 7-7.8 is controlled by sedimentation of structural units. At pH ~ 7.8-10.5 or in the presence of indifferent (inert) electrolytes, the crystallization is controlled by the linear growth of supramolecular crystals. The peculiarities of crystallization and nucleation in both cases are discussed.
