Abstract

For improving handling safety and driving comfort, an adaptive fuzzy PID control method is proposed for the semi-active suspension model of engineering vehicle with five degrees of freedom based on the advantages of fuzzy control and adaptive PID control. Taking a tipper as the study object, an adaptive fuzzy PID controller is designed for vibration control of the engineering vehicle and is simulated. The paper applies an adaptive fuzzy PID controller to the semi-active suspension system of a tipper based on PID control and fuzzy control in order to improve vertical and pitch vibration. The semi-active suspension of engineering vehicle adopting adaptive fuzzy PID control is feasible and can improve well in riding comfort, driving stability and handling safety for engineering vehicle.
