Abstract

Synthesis of high-purity ZnO nanostructures with different micro-morphologies was achieved using self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) method. The morphologies of products can be controlled by simply tuning the mass fraction of ZnO. Scanning electron microscope was used to study the particle size and morphology. The ZnO nanopowders were characterized for crystal structure using X-ray diffractometry. The influence of the amount of energy obtained by SHS systems on the morphology of ZnO nanostructures was studied.
