Abstract

The greenhouse whitefly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood) is one of the most important pests present in protected spaces, producing major damages to vegetable crops and also to the flower crops. This pest, besides the damage produced in greenhouse crops, in hot years during summer, it also can be seen in field crops, where produce great damages by stinging and sucking the cell juice from the leaves tissues and young offshoot of different crop plants. The present paper proposes a study about the control of whitefly Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westwood with aid of coloured traps, experiments being made at the USAMV Cluj-Napoca greenhouse.
