Abstract

Abstract Cotton was planted on 23 May in plots 8 rows (40 inch centers) by 50 ft on the Delta Branch Experiment Station, Stoneville, Miss. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block with 3 replicates. Treatments were applied on 28 Aug by a high-clearance spray machine equipped with a compressed-air spray system. Total spray volume was 5 gal/acre at 5 mph and 40 psi using two TX 6 nozzles/row. Damage, eggs, and live larvae were estimated by sampling 50 buds (squares) and 50 terminals in each replication on 31 Aug.
