Abstract

Experimental research into the possibilities of visualizing the distribution of magnetic stray fields near the surface of uniaxial highly anisotropic magnets and working fields of permanent thin-film magnets for microelectromechanical systems is performed. The possibility of visualizing the magnetic-field distribution near the basal and prismatic planes of uniaxial crystals caused by 180-degree-type domain structure is demonstrated. A method of the segmentation of magnetic contrast by removing the topographic component from the full image using a movable metallic screen is proposed.
