Abstract

The metal/dielectric/metal (MDM) multilayer resonator is of increasing interest because of its functionality of surface plasmons generated at the interfaces. We aimed to control the EL spectra of OLED with an MDM electrode by actively utilizing the plasmon-microcavity coupling. The change in EL spectra of OLED with MDM electrode was simulated depending on the design of MDM structures by FDTD simulations. The strength of the plasmon-microcavity coupling can be controlled by the thickness of the Ag film in AZA, which can determine the tuning range of the EL peak position.
