Abstract

Abstract ‘Goldmar’ sweet potato sprouts were planted n single row plots (36-inch row spacing), 40 ft in length, on 30 May ’85. The spacing between plants within the row was 12 inches. The treatments ivere arranged in a randomized complete block design with 4 replications. Granular treatments were applied in a 6 to 8-inch band using a shaker c an and then incorporated 2-4 inches into the soil on 30 May. Soil temperature at the 4-inch depth at the time of preplant application was 28°C. Yield data were taken from the entire 40 ft of row. All roots were examined for flea beetle larvae injury (shallow writing on the roots).
