Abstract

Abstract A test was conducted at the Northeast Research Station near Winnsboro, La., to evaluate insecticide efficacy against foliage feeding Lepidotera. Plots consisted of 4 rows on 40-inch centers × 50-ft. Treatments were arranged in a randomized complete block with 4 replications. Test materials were applied with a tractor-mounted boom and compressed air delivery system calibrated to deliver 10 gal total spray/acre at 38 psi through Teejet X-12 hollow cone nozzles (2/row). Insecticides were applied on 8 Sep and plots were sampled at 2 and 7 DAT using one 50-sweep sample with a standard 15-in diameter sweep net. The test plots received 0.4-inches rainfall on 8 Sep, 0.7-inches rainfall on 10 Sep, and 0.8-inches rainfall on 11 Sep.
