Abstract

Abstract The trial was conducted on 10-yr-old ‘Wichita’ pecan trees in a commercial orchard near Visalia, Calif. Four treatments were replicated 4 times in a randomized complete block design. There was one untreated buffer tree in each direction separating each experimental tree. Materials were applied with a hand-held orchard sprayer operating at 360 psi and delivering 400 gal/acre. Materials were applied on 9 Jun. Control was evaluated by counting all aphids on 5 compound leaves/tree at weekly intervals from 9 Jun through 7 Jul. Yellow pecan aphids and blackmargined aphids were combined into yellow aphid complex.
