Abstract

Abstract ‘Great Lakes’ lettuce was transplanted 12 Aug at the Colorado State University Bay Farm, Ft. Collins, CO. Individual plots were 25 heads planted in a staggered double bed at 18-inch spacing. Plot design was a randomized complete block with 4 replications. Treatments were applied 19 Aug and 27 Aug using a CO2 compressed air sprayer delivering 50 gals/acre. Aphids were counted 30 Aug on 5 randomly selected heads/plot. Aster yellows, vectored by the aster leafhopper, was assessed 23 Sep by counting infected heads.
