Abstract
In this paper, structure and control of a fuel cell hybrid electric scooter for mass production are presented. The zero emission scooter development will improve air quality and protect the environment, especially in Asia and Europe where over 25 million scooters are produced annually. The generic advantages of low-pressure hydrogen storage of the fuel cell powered scooter are explained and control strategies of a fuel cell hybrid scooter are presented. Also, experimental verifications and discussions are presented, based on a prototype system controller.
