Abstract
This study presents different documentary data on which to support the historical contextualization of the medieval building complex of Torre de Melgarejo (Jerez de la Frontera), thus allowing the elaboration of formal analyzes based on this typology of defensive architecture that articulated the territory of the kingdom of Seville during the XIII-XV centuries.
