Abstract
Chapter 8 reviews articles and books, published in either an East Asian language or English, that make contrastive pragmatic studies between or among (Mandarin) Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The contrastive studies concern each of the dimensions dealt with in Part 1 and Part 2. Pragmatic differences across the East Asian languages are highlighted.
