Abstract

Abstract A novel class of Monte-Carlo simulation methods has recently been developed for the study of dense polymeric systems. Such methods allow the calculation of chemical potential and solubilities in macromolecular systems. In this work, results are presented for solubilities of long alkanes in polyethylene and for dilute solutions of long alkanes in near-critical solvents.
