Abstract

One of the open questions from the 1988 published systematics of continuum angular distributions in light particle reactions is addressed. Evidence for a smooth transition in the systematics at incident energies of [approximately]125 MeV is summarized, and appropriate revisions to the global parameterization are proposed. Applying similar changes to the second-order term helps to remove problems noted in the literature with low-energy (N,[alpha]) reactions.
