Abstract

We have employed a technique of continent urinary diversion that uses ileocecocystoplasty to incorporate native bladder into the urinary reservoir. This allows creation of a reservoir in selected patients using less complicated surgery than complete replacement of the bladder and avoids ureteralintestinal anastomoses. Early results are promising for this simplified means of continent diversion.
