Abstract
Within the context of early XIX century Mexico, its socio-political situation, and the way its nation started settling its foundations based on certain identity paradigms, this text explores the topic of natural and urban landscape through poems and tales printed in El ano nuevo. Presente amistoso, a magazine of which four issues were published between 1837 and 1840.
