Abstract

Universities fulfill an important part of their social functions, such as conducting research and producing new knowledge and technologies, through research carried out during postgraduate education and scientific research by faculty members. In this context, the contribution of postgraduate research in the field of autism to the field is important. The general purpose of this study is to examine the postgraduate thesis studies on autism, conducted in the institutes in Northern Cyprus universities. This study is a content analysis review for postgraduate studies in the field of autism. The data were analyzed through content analysis. Fourteen (14) postgraduate theses were reached in Northern Cyprus universities, and 13 theses were examined. Theses were accessed by visiting the libraries of 3 universities. The obtained data were analyzed after the content analysis table was created. Despite the increase in research on autism in recent years, it has been observed that there are not many graduate thesis studies in the field. Keywords: Autism; content analysis; disorder; theses.
