Abstract

Gear pump is a very common hydraulic pump used in industrial production and life. Gear pump has many advantages, such as compact structure, small volume, light weight, wide speed range, stable performance and so on. But gear pump has flow pulsation, oil leakage, meshing trap and other shortcomings. In this paper, based on certain gear pump as an example, using ANSYS Workbench and other related software, the gear pump is modeled by CATIA, and the finite element analysis method is carried out by ANSYS to analyze and deal with the related problems. Surveying and mapping gears, modeling, using ANSYS Workbench The software plate carries on the contact stress analysis and the modal analysis, obtains the deformation cloud diagram, the stress cloud diagram and the modal deformation cloud diagram, obtains the gear pump maximum contact stress position, that is, the place which is most prone to fatigue failure. It lays a good foundation for the subsequent optimization design.
