Contact lens practice in Peru

Abstract

The quality of contact lens fitters and of their education is of great importance to the growth of the contact lens market in Peru and the latin American region. The Peruvian optometrist now has a betteri knowledge of contact lens practice. IACLE has played an important role in bringing about changes in contact lens education at the School of Optometry, but there is still a lot of work to be done. With the cooperation of institutions like IACLE, the knowledge of educators, students, and practitioners can be upgraded in developing countries.
