CONSULTING IN DESIGN and design management is new to Germany. In this context, Dieter Kretschmann chats with four leaders in the field, reporting how each has developed a unique strategy for helping clients. One combines market and trend analysis with design; another coordinates groups of experts to solve communications and public relations problems; a third emphasizes innovative research as the basis of good design; and the last stresses an understanding of corporate culture and philosophy as the groundwork for creativity.
