Abstract
We construct unequal error protection (UEP) convolutional codes. Essentially, the construction is performed by 'searching' as well as finding the best codes in ordinary convolutional codes. Since the encoder of a UEP convolutional code has more than one information inputs in usual sense, the code search is not so easy as that for low rate convolutional codes. We apply two-step code search algorithm based on code search of low rate convolutional codes. >
