Abstract
Based on discourse analysis theory,discourse analysis teaching is being used in teaching medical writing.Writing characteristics in medical English essays are researched.The strategies for writing medical English articles are also taught.The practice can guide the students to establish the awareness of discourse coherence and it can help them understand ‘ Discourse' and ‘ Cohesion' in medical essays.Medical students should know the characteristics of medical English essays under the guidance of the discourse analysis theory.Discourse-oriental analysis teaching method can improve students' writing ability.
