Abstract

Curriculum design is one important aspect of college English teaching in China, and is critical for the smooth and successful implementation of college English teaching reform.This pager, taking college English teaching reform practice in Xinxiang Medical University as an example, analyzed the theoretical bases for college English curriculum designs and discussed its practice and effects in our medical university on the grounds of theories of constructivism and post-modernism.The research indicates that the multi-dimensional curriculum design enriches the college English curriculum system, more important, it provides a platform for medical students to use English and lay a solid foundation for their further study as well.
