Abstract
Constructing tubular MoS2-based hybrid composites with heterostructure is effective for enhancing the catalytic performance of hybrid nanozymes. Herein, we present a multi-step “molecule/ion-exchange” strategy and post-sulfidation treatment to fabricate hierarchical microtubes by growing a Co, Fe co-doped MoS2 nanosheets(NSs) on polypyrrole(PPy) microtubes. The hierarchical tubular structure provides fast transport pathways for electrons, and the voids effectively facilitate mass diffusion. Owing to their synergistic effect between their unique tubular PPy structure and hierarchical Co, Fe co-doped MoS2 NSs, the Co, Fe-MoS2 @PPy microtubes exhibited extraordinary activity and stability in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol as well as peroxidase-like catalysis. Moreover, this dual transition metal doped approach would give novel inspiration for designing and synthesizing other tubular MoS2-based composites with tailored compositions, which could be used as a promising candidate for other energy-related applications.
