Abstract

Objective To construct a new comprehensive assessment mode of nursing English course. Methods Take the first-level ability of TOPCARES CDIO concept as the standard, design the teaching plan in combination with the characteristics of foreign-related nursing majors and the requirements of nursing English courses, construct a comprehensive assessment system, and evaluate the evaluation system from three aspects: assessment results, quality analysis, and students' attitude towards the assessment system. Results The average score on the exam was(78.55±9.41) points. On the whole, the results basically followed the normal distribution.Calibration correlation validity coefficient r=0.74(P<0.05), difficulty P=0.67, degree of differentiation D=0.38, the overall evaluation of the students was good. Conclusions The comprehensive assessment system of nursing English courses based on TOPCARES-CDIO concept can meet the quality requirements of the assessment of foreign-related nursing majors, which can be tried to be carried out in the teaching of foreign-related nursing English.
