Abstract

Species identification based on molecular markers is a major concern in the field of phylogenetic systematics because it has a wide range of applications such as molecular forensics and biodiversity research. Therefore, a well-organized and curated database is essential to meet this need. Barcode of Life Database (BOLD) is the main database system that stores a large variety of species identification markers. However, BOLD does not contain all of the barcode information available in other databases such as GenBank and the Korea Barcode Of Life database (KBOL). As a result, users must navigate all of these databases to obtain integrated information on barcodes and species.
