Abstract

The amphiphilic polymer supramolecular system with high viscosity was constructed by electrostatic interaction between the cationic amphiphilic polymer and polyorganic acid, which expanded the thickening mode of amphiphilic polymer system. The optimum conditions for the construction of amphiphilic polymer supramolecular system and its thickening ability under reservoir conditions such as salinity, temperature and shear rate were explored by means of viscosity measurement. The intrinsic relationship between the macro-rheological properties of supramolecular system and the micro-morphology of solutions was also investigated by means of dynamic rheology, dynamic light scattering and SEM analysis. The results showed that the supramolecular system of cationic amphiphilic polymer PACD with 0.75M ratio of polyacid could achieve ideal thickening effect at pH=9. Moreover, the supramolecular system still maintained considerable viscosity at high temperature and high salinity. Amphiphilic polymer supramolecular systems had more compact microstructures and larger hydrodynamic volumes, which provided excellent thickening properties.
