Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has greatly promoted innovation and reform in education. Under such background, blended learning was born naturally. Based on the new situation of higher education, teaching concept of blended learning and Shannon-weaver's communication theory, taking the school-based English Writing course as an example, this paper constructs the framework of blended learning mode supported by the Chaoxing Fanya Platform and Xuexitong App and explores its effect. The result shows that blended learning mode is welcomed by students and it can mobilize students’ learning and cultivate students autonomous learning ability. Some suggestions, namely perfecting teaching design and creating learning community, making good use of data and teaching pertinently and improving students’ sense of contentment and achievement, are presented to promote the deep integration of information technology and English writing course teaching.
