Consideration and suggestions on development of blood transfusion department under the epidemic situation of novel coronavirus pneumonia

Abstract

Blood transfusion has always been an essential means in clinical treatment. With the continuous development of the epidemic, under such a severe situation, there are many urgent problems for the blood transfusion department to solve, such as how to do a good job of self-protection for blood transfusion staff, how to recruit unpaid blood donors, how to ensure the normal operation of hospitals, how to ensure the clinical blood use of emergency patients，and how to make use of the relevant technology of the blood transfusion department to assist the treatment of patients with new coronary pneumonia. Combining the issuance of various policies and the experience of blood transfusion work in the hospital where the author is located, this article puts forward personal suggestions and reflections on the above issues, with the hope of serving as a lead-in to further discussions. It is hoped to make better use of the advantages of blood transfusion medicine, and to do a good job of further preventing prevention and ensuring blood supply.
