Abstract

Passionate expressions in our culture set the tone for what we have observed in the political climate. This phenomenon has intensified, producing and authorizing discourses of hatred and violence. This is interconnected with expressions of intolerance (racial, social, ideological, gender), even with the logics of love compatibility. In the affective foundations and the constitutions of identities we find some conditions of possibility of identity formation crossed by affections such as hatred, fear and ignorance, in addition to the direct implications in love and shame. From this, we observe logics of management of passions in the historical moment referred to as capitalist discourse.
