Abstract

For the study of consequences of stress in a critical period of the physiological suckling the reproductive function of adult female rats exposed to mother separation stress from 3rd till 15thday has been examined. It was found that such conditions led to the change of hormonal profile in the different stages of estrus cycle (higher concentration of testosterone, lower progesterone content in diestrus and flattening of estradiol peak in proestrus), that resulted into the prolongation of estrus cycle in the main over the diestrus phase. The body mass decrease, ovaries mass increase and adrenal mass diminishing at pregnant females, increase of intrauterine losses and inhibition of male fetus embryonal development, specify about production of poor quality oocite and disturbances of pregnancy maintenance at stressed rats.
