Abstract
Presentamos el estudio de un pequeño conjunto de moneda de plata andalusí recuperado en recientes excavaciones en el casco histórico de Zamora. Hemos centrado el análisis en el contexto arqueológico de los dírhams y en la revisión de las emisiones representadas. A pesar de que el lote de monedas es reducido y las piezas se encuentran en un estado fragmentario, consideramos que esta documentación arqueológica contribuye a aclarar el panorama histórico de esta ciudad durante la etapa altomedieval.

Hemos creído que tendría interés revisar y contrastar la composición del conjunto recuperado en Zamora con la de otros lotes de monedas califales hallados en distintas áreas peninsulares (Figs. 6 y 7) para comprobar si es posible detectar o no un patrón de circulación y de deposición propio de esta etapa
Resulta evidente que la importancia de este hallazgo radica principalmente en que permite ampliar el área geográfica con presencia de moneda califal en la zona septentrional peninsular
Summary
We present the study of a small set of silver coins from alAndalus recovered in recent excavations in the historic center of Zamora. The analysis focuses on the archaeological context of the dírhams and the review of the represented issues. The batch of coins is small and the pieces are fragmented, we consider this archaeological evidence helps to clarify the historical panorama of this city during the High Middle Ages.
