Abstract
Spacers, cut from the haptic section of a scleral contact lens, were designed to be placed between the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva to allow healing in a patient who had suffered burns to the conjunctiva. These were sutured to the inner surface of the upper lid and allowed to remain in place for 12 days. Healing was facilitated by this technique.
