Abstract

Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) congeners and isomers in serum and adipose tissue specimens from humans after different exposures were identified and analysed using both high resolution gas chromatography high resolution mass spectrometry (HRGC/HRMS) and high resolution gas chromatography electron capture detection (HRGC/EC). Different exposure groups (environmental, accidental and occupational) were classified both with SIMCA pattern recognition method and congener-specifically. The results were calculated grouped as mono- ortho- and di- ortho-chlorinated congeners and isomers, as well as the corresponding TEQs.
