Abstract

The article discusses the adoption of the term "Aerospace" in Brazilian Aeronautics, highlighting the impropriety of its use in place of traditional terms like "Air Power." The change in terminology has led to confusion and the creation of inadequate expressions, such as "Aerospace Sovereignty," which do not reflect the reality of outer space. The author argues that it is essential to maintain clear and precise terminology to avoid ambiguities and ensure that Brazilian Aeronautics aligns with international practices without losing its identity.
