Abstract

Objective: To map the confrontations in access and adherence to anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in Brazil. Methodology: A scoping review was carried out with a search in PubMed, LILACS, CINAHL, Scopus and gray literature: Google Scholar. Primary and secondary sources of evidence that addressed anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in the context of Brazil were included, resulting in 16 articles for analysis. Results: Three domains addressed in studies on the subject emerged, namely: intention to vaccinate against COVID-19; challenges of anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination; factors that cause vaccine hesitancy against anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Among the findings of the review, themes such as low fear of side effects, high intention of vaccination, anti-vaccination movements, vaccine politicization and fake news were highlighted. Conclusion: The confrontations in access and adherence to anti-SARS-CoV-2 vaccination in Brazil point to the need for policies to encourage science and vaccination as good practices that will reflect in improvements in vaccine adherence and in the management of health crises.
