Alzheimer's Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative condition that results in cognitive decline and behavioral changes. This article aims to analyze the therapeutic potential of phytocannabinoids in Alzheimer's Disease. We conducted a systematic search of articles published from 2014 to May 2024 in the MEDLINE (PubMed), LILACS, and SCOPUS databases, using terms related to Alzheimer's Disease, neuroinflammation, endocannabinoid system, phytocannabinoids, cannabis, cannabinoid, cannabidiol, and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. The results of this systematic review provide a comprehensive overview of the interaction between neurodegeneration and the endocannabinoid system, highlighting the potential of phytocannabinoids as therapeutic interventions for Alzheimer's Disease.
