Abstract

Oxidation chronoamperograms of compacted polypyrrole films allow one to study the effect of the solvent on the rate of electrochemical switching controlled by conformational relaxation processes. Experimental behaviour has been analyzed on the basis of the electrochemically stimulated conformational relaxation (ESCR) model and compared to theoretical results extracted from free volume theories in amorphous polymers
